Blessed is he, who in the flower of his youth and the peak of his life, rises to serve the Cause of the Lord from beginning to end, and adorns his heart with His Love. The manifestation of such grace is greater than the creation of the heavens and the earth.

BUDDHIST PRAYER
The Prayer of Universal Love (Metta)

May all creatures that exist,
weak or strong,
Long, great, medium
Short, small or thick,

May all creatures that exist,
known or unknown,
Near or far,
Born or to be born,
May all creatures, without exception, be happy.

Let no one cheat nor deprecate another in any place;
Nor wish harm to others in anger.
As a mother protects her only daughter or son with her own life,
So should one cultivate a heart without limit toward all creatures.

Let thoughts of love fill the entire world,
Above, below and to its entire length;
Without obstruction, nor hate, nor enmity.
Standing, walking, seated or lying down, while awake,
One should cultivate this meditation of love.
Your life shall bring heaven to Earth.

INDIGENOUS MAYA PRAYER

Great Creator, You made us, Heart of the heavens, Heart of the Earth:
We give thanks unto you for having created us
God of Thunder, God of the rain:
From the rise of the sun we seek peace in the whole world.
Let there be freedom, tranquility, health for all of your children who live in the East, where the sun rises.

We also ask you, as the sun sets in the West, that all suffering, all pain, all rancor end, as the day ends.

Let your light illuminate our thoughts,
the lives of those who cry, of those who suffer, of those who are oppressed, of those who have not heard.

We pray toward the South,
where the Heart of the Sea purifies all corruption, disease, pestilence.
Give us strength so that our voices may reach your heart, your hands and your feet.
We prostrate ourselves before You with our offerings, invoking You day and night.

We Pray toward the North,
from the four cardinal points of this world,
trusting that the Heart of thw Wind will carry the voice, the clamor of your children to your ears.

Oh Great Creator, Heart of the Heavens,
Heart of the Earth, our mother:
Give us life, much life and a useful existence,
so that our peoples shall find peace among all the nations of the world.

BAHÁ’Í PRAYER FOR UNITY

Let them meet, oh Lord, through the power of your Covenant and end their dispersion by the power of your promise.
Unify their hearts by the dominion of your love. Make them love one another, so that they sacrifice their spirits, spend their goods and associate themselves, on to the other through love.
Oh Lord! Let tranquility and peace descend upon them. Let clouds of your mercy rain down upon them in great abundance.
Oh Lord! Allow us to remain firm in your noble mandate and grant us your gifts through your bounty, your grace and munificence.
In truth You are the Generous one, the Merciful one, the Benevolent one.

Oh God, our Lord! We sing Your praise, we bear witness to Your holiness, we fervently pray to heaven of Your mercy that You make us your guiding lights, stars that shine over the horizons of eternal glory among mankind and that you teach us the wisdom that comes from You.

Oh most glorious Lord! Bless and make this small servant of Yours happy; let her be loved in the threshold of your oneness and allow her to drink from the cup of Your love to become full of ecstasy and approval and diffuse perfumed fragrances. You are the Powerful and the Strong, and You are the Wise, who sees all.

PETITION OF A LITTLE BOY

¡Oh, Thou, Bountiful God! I am a little boy, uplift me, admitting me into Your kingdom. I am earthbound, make me heavenly; I am from this world below, allow me to belong to the kingdom above; I am afflicted, allow me to become brilliant; I am material, make me spiritual and grant me the ability to manifest Your infinite generosity. You are the all Powerful, the All Loving.

PRAYER OF SAINT FRANCIS OF ASÍSI
"Oh Highest, Omnipotent, good Lord,
Yours are the praises, the glory,
the honor and all the blessings.
It is only in your hands, Oh Highest,
and no man is worthy of mentioning your name.

Praised art thou, my Lord, with all of
Your creations, especially our brother sun,
which is the day, and through which you illuminate us.
And he is beautiful and radiant with a great shining,
from you, Oh Highest, he receives his meaning.

Praised art thou, my Lord, for our sister
the moon and the stars, You formed them in the sky
shining and precious and beautiful.

Praised art thou, my Lord, for our brother
the wind, and for the air and clouds and the mist
and all time, for which you give sustenance to your creatures.

Praised art thou, my Lord, for our sister water,
that is very useful and humble and precious and pure.
Praised art thou, my Lord, for our brother fire,
that You use to light the night,
and is beautiful and happy and robust and strong.

Praised art thou, my Lord, for our sister
mother earth, that sustains and governs us,
and produces abundant fruits with colored flowers
and herbs.

Pardon in the name of your love, and support sickness
and tribulation.

Blessed are they that support those things in peace,
because they shall, oh Highest, be crowned by You.

corporal death, from which no man alive
can escape.

Woe to those who die in mortal sin!:
Blessed are those who are found in Your holy will,
because the second death will do them no harm.

A YOUNG MAN’S PRAYER

¡Oh Lord! Make this young man radiant and confer your generosity to this poor creature. Grant him knowledge, concede him more power as each morning breaks the dawn and shield him in the shelter of Your protection so he becomes free from errors, he may consecrate himself at the service of Your Cause, he may guide the misguided, redirect the unfortunate, free the captives and awaken the distracted with Your memory and praise.
You are the all Powerful and Potent.

THE IMPORTANCE OF PRAYER IN THE LIVES OF YOUNG PEOPLE
"The problem we are facing is a problem that affects and seriously disconcerts many young people today. How to achieve spirituality, is effectively a question that every young person, be it man or woman, shall have to find a satisfactory answer to, sooner or later. It is precisely because they have not found a satisfactory answer to this that modern youth finds itself perplexed and, as a result, finds itself dragged by the forces of materialism, which is so strongly undermining the foundations of a moral and spiritual life for mankind.
In fact, the principal reason for the ills that are now becoming endemic to society are due to a lack of spirituality. Materialistic civilization of our age has absorbed the energy and interest of humanity, in such a way that people in general no longer feel the need to rise above the forces and conditions of their daily material existence. There is not sufficient demand for those things that we should qualify as spiritual to differentiate them from the needs and demands of our physical existence.

The causes of the universal crisis that afflicts humanity are, therefore, fundamentally spiritual. The spirit of the times, en general, is non religious. The attitude of man toward life is too crude and materialistic to allow one to rise to the highest kingdoms of spirituality

It is this so sadly morose situation, in which society has fallen, that religion tries to improve and transform; the nucleus of religious faith is that mystic sentiment that unites man to God. This state of spiritual communion can happen and be preserved through meditation and prayer. That is the reason for which Bahá'u'lláh has placed such stress on the importance of adoration. It is not enough that the believer simply accept and observe the teachings. He should also cultivate the feeling of spirituality, which he can obtain, mainly through prayer. The Bahá'í, faith like all divine Religions, is of an essentially mystic nature. Its principal objective is the development of the person and of society, through the acquisition of spiritual virtues and powers. The soul of man is what has to be fed in the first place. The best way of providing that spiritual food is through prayer. The laws and institutions, according to the way they are conceived by Bahá'u'lláh, can only become truly effective when our spiritual interior lives have been perfected and transformed. Otherwise, religion will degenerate, and become a simple organization turning into a dead thing.
Believers, especially young people, should realize perfectly the need for prayer. Prayer is absolutely indispensable for your interior spiritual development, and this, as we have said, is the very base and purpose of the Religion of God.”

PRAYER DEDICATED TO THE CHILDREN WHO SUFFER

Oh incomparable Lord! Be a shelter for this poor child, a benevolent and loving Teacher for this wandering, unhappy soul. Oh Lord! In spite of being useless plants, we belong to Your garden of roses. Although we are trees without leaves or flowers, we are still part of Your garden. Feed this plant, then, with the effusion of the clouds of Your gentle mercy and make it live and refresh this little tree with the reviving breath of Your spiritual springtime. Allow it to be aware, knowing and noble, and allow it to find eternal life and to dwell for ever in Your Kingdom.


PRAYER FOR A YOUNG WOMAN

Oh Lord! Help this daughter of your Kingdom to be exalted in both worlds; make her a part of this mortal world of dust and of those who have put their heat into it, and allow her to have communion and intimate association with the world of immortality. Give her the celestial power and strength through the breath of the Holy Spirit to arise and serve You.
Thine is the Power.

PRAYER ASKING FOR PURITY

Oh my glorious Lord! Help me to repress all irregular
inclinations, to dominate all rebellious
passion, to purify all of the impulses of my c
onduct, to accept this humility that no provocation
can undo, to have that patience that no affliction
can cloud over, that integrity that egoistic interests
cannot shake, so that thus I may be enabled
to serve you and teach Your word.

thine hands fill us with joy, oh Lord,
this is a song to thy kindness and beauty.

Day to the day, and night to the night,
communicate thy message of love
and our young heart fills with joy and enthusiasm before Thy presence.

¡Blessed art thou, oh Lord, in the light and in the life of thy works!
Like the soft breeze, like the morning dew, our Lord,
thy message reaches us, filling us with the greatness of thy hands.

The entire earth is rained upon with thy love and thy wonders,
and thy face is uncovered when we hear thy footsteps approach.

PSALM 25

Show me thy ways, oh Lord,
teach me thy paths.
Lead me in thy truth; and teach me, for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
Remember, oh Lord, thy tender mercies and thy loving kindness: for they have been ever of old.
Remember not the sins of my youth nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, oh Lord.
good and right is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way;
The meek will he guide in judgment: guide the humble to work righteously and teach thy ways to the poor.
All of the Lord’s paths are love and truth, for those who keep his covenants.

In the name of Allah, clement and merciful
Praise Allah, owner of the universe,
The clement, the merciful,
Sovereign on the day of retribution.
It is you that we adore, it is you who we implore to help us.
Guide us along the right path,
On the path of those who you have filled with your blessings,
Not on that of those who have incurred in your wrath nor of those who have gone astray.

Allah! Allow not our hearts to stray from the straight path, once you have guided us to it. Grant us your mercy, for you are the supreme provider.
7. Allah! You shall gather all mankind on the day that none shall doubt. In truth, Allah does not fail on his promises.

CHRISTIAN PRAYER FOR BOYS AND GIRLS

Father we ask you that every boy and every girl may have, at his or her side, an adult to protect them and to help them to grow surrounded by real spiritual love.

May no boy or any girl be in need of food, shelter or medical assistance.
Let them study and play.
Let them always have help in moments of difficulty and be accompanied through their suffering.
Father let us not abandon them,
Let them never be in need
to carry out tasks that do not respond to their age.
We ask you to illuminate us to find the way that leads us to know You and to follow Your teachings. In these times of individualism, aggression and violence, help us to be a testimony of life that You gave us by your Incarnation.
May we live in solidarity the “soul of your son as You yourself ".
Because he that loves, gives.
May this be our heritage for all children of the world:
If we all love
A new culture shall appear on earth

The only thing that makes a human being really free and happy,
The only thing that brings us close to your.
