In Malawi, UNICEF supported various activities including: an orientation on child protection with over 40 religious leaders and the producers from two radio stations; preparation and distribution of multimedia materials distributed nationwide; a National Day of Prayer launched on 24 November, following which religious leaders rolled out actions in their local communities. The Malawi Interfaith AIDS Association was a core partner in planning and implementation.
