What is the World Day of Prayer and Action for Children?

The World Day is a movement of people all over the world who pray and take action for the well-being of children on Universal Children's Day (20 November) every year. The World Day Secretariat in New York City is the enabling organization. All events are planned by local leaders, and are inspired by the United Nations Convention on the Rights. The new theme for 2011-2015 is "Stop Violence Against Children."
